Orang Utan Sanctuary located at the virgin forest reserve in Sepilok, this is the one of the only tour orang utan sanctuaries in the world. It is accessible after a 25-km drive from Sandakan. Orphaned and injured orang utans are brought to Sepilok to be rehabilitated to return to forest life. These gentle great apes are very appealing. Trained orang utans may be cuddled for a memorable snapshot.
Kinabalu Park & Mount Kinabalu
The pride of Sabah. This 4095 m peak is easily accessible and is a favorite of jungle-trekking and mountain climbing and offers a breathtaking view of the lush surrounding. If you are lucky, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the exotic Rafflesia, the world's largest flower.
